When it comes to air fryers, Philips is the most popular brand. Philips HD9220/26 air fryer will let you cook healthier meals by frying them with no oil (at max one tablespoon of oil and that is it). It uses the rapid air technology for cooking process & it includes automatic shut off technology along with providing you a recipe book.
The Philips HD9220/26 has a very sleek design and it offers interesting extras such as mobile device technology. The design is fully compact (not that much tall nor that much thin). The controls are super simple. The resulting foods are impressive and tastier than many other health fryers.
The foods are soft from inside and crisp from outside while maintaining all the juices of the foods. In short, this is a pretty good air fryer which is available in the current market.
Rapid Air Technology
This is Philips’s patent pending technology. Many other brands started this technology after them. This technology includes a designed fan in the shape of a sea star inside the cooker, which allows circulating the hot air all over the fryer. This cooks the foods to perfection. It makes sure that the food is evenly cooked from everywhere.
Cooking Modes
There are two dials, one for the time and one for the temperature. The maximum time that one can set is 30 minutes and the highest temperature in 390 degrees. As your cooking time is reached, the timer will automatically shut off the fryer.
The temperature control button will allow you to cook your favourite fish or meat without any fear of burning.

The design of the Philips HD9220/26 is very well constructed, so you don’t need to worry about slipping or toppling of the fryer.
Negative Sides
- There is no lock-in feature for the handle of this air fryer. This means, the handle can be easily pulled out by your children, which may cause accidents.
- The outside walls become warm while you are cooking.
- The foods stick to the steel if you are not using any oil.
- A little bulky than the other air fryers of Philips.
- Difficult to clean.
Final Words
People who have used the Philips HD9220/26 have given mixed reviews about this product. Some people loved this air fryer while some said it could be better.
Although this air fryer has some negative sides, it will give you healthy and tasty foods for sure. It’s an excellent product for purchase, but this is not one of the best air fryers that Philips offered in the market.
I love my Air fryer, just wish I had a container to place inside for wet foods like mac & cheese. It’s hard to find a size container and heat proof to fit in.
